   Stay together and forget about booking expensive, impersonal hotel rooms with no kitchen or fireplace! This lovely and professionally decorated (in a mountain theme with plush wall-to-wall carpet), corner, GROUND-LEVEL (no exterior stairs to climb and nothing constructed above, so no rowdy neighbors stomping, etc., overhead!) is located in the fabulous ski resort town of Big Sky, just outside Yellowstone National Park. The Park entrance is approximately 15 minutes from Big Sky, and West Yellowstone is about 30 minutes from there. Old Faithful and the geyser area are approximately 15-30 minutes from that point, depending on traffic. (Big Sky is mid-way between Bozeman and West Yellowstone ~ a breathtaking 45 minute drive to each.) Bozeman is the closest major airport and it has several rental car agencies.

This property is nestled in the heart of a quiet and serene golf course community within the upscale, residential neighborhood known as Meadow Village.  The Meadow Village is commonly regarded throughout Big Sky as being considerably more desirable than the Mountain Village ("Hill") at Big Sky Resort for many obvious reasons.  Also, since the lower elevation of the Meadow Village has about 60% less snowpack than the Mountain Village, it offers a milder climate with earlier springs, later falls, and a longer summer season, resulting in more year-round recreational opportunities!  Best of all, many of the locals' favorite hot-spots at the Big Sky Town Center ~ cafes, restaurants, shopping, groceries, movie theatre, etc. ~ are an easy stroll away. 

Cozy and charming, this property sports a vaulted and beamed ceiling, fully-equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, disposal, microwave, blender, mixer, toaster, pancake griddle, coffee maker, coffee grinder, dishes, utensils, cooking spices, etc.), stone fireplace (with COMPLIMENTARY firewood), and redwood deck with furniture, grill, and outdoor fireplace. Both the master bedroom (with door lock) and second bedroom (open loft) have a queen-size bed with newer pillow-top mattresses, and the chalet-style living room has a full-size sleeper sofa. There is WiFi (satellite-based Internet) throughout and each of the three main rooms has satellite television (2 of 3 TV's are flat screen.) Every window has at least one drape or shade so that each room has complete privacy. Abundant linens and towels are provided. This property also offers a pretty, lush, green yard that is dotted with fragrant pine trees, only steps away from the indoor swim center (large/heated pool, hot tub, sauna, locker rooms with additional bathrooms), heated laundry room, 18-hole Arnold Palmer designed championship golf course, and parking area. A swimming pool is a MUST in the summer (especially for the kids) and a hot tub is a MUST in the winter (great for apres ski.) No other property within the complex is situated closer to the swim center and laundry room! 

 This winter playground opens Thanksgiving weekend and usually stays open until mid-to-late April. Big Sky's award-winning ski school will get beginners on the slopes, 6 miles/less than 10 minutes away from this rental propertyquickly.  Beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiers will all enjoy incredible skiing on majestic Lone Mountain.  It boasts 3,812 acres of lift-accessed ski-able terrain with over 150 named ski runs covering 85 miles, and an awesome 4,350 foot vertical drop (nation's second largest.) Neighboring Moonlight Basin, on the north face of Lone Mountain, is the first new destination ski resort to open in more than twenty years! **HOLIDAY PREMIUMS: We add $50 {$100 if both Christmas and New Year's are included} to EACH night of the reservation if it includes ANY popular holiday. This, of course, includes holidays such as Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Mother's/Father's Day, Halloween, etc. Again, this is for "EACH night of the reservation", NOT just the holidays. The above Holiday Premiums also apply if the reservation is part of a HOLIDAY WEEKEND whether the actual holiday is included or not. Holiday Premiums non-negotiable. {The posted rates do NOT include Holiday Premiums}.

***PLEASE NOTE: There is a 4 NIGHT MINIMUM if EASTER, JULY 4TH, or LABOR DAY is included, even on check-out day. There is a 6 NIGHT MINIMUM if THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS EVE/DAY, or NEW YEAR'S EVE/DAY is included, even on check-out day. Minimum nights are also non-negotiable. 
Sorry, for legal reasons, we do not accept reservations for more than 21 nights at a time. Check-in can commence on any day of the week, if available, and we do not charge extra for weekends. Check-in time is 4:00 P.M. {never earlier as a courtesy to our cleaning staff} and check-out time is 11:00 A.M. Eastern Time, OR guest can choose a 6:00 P.M. check-in and a 1:00 P.M. check-out. The later option must be chosen BEFORE the rental agreement is drafted.

BOOKING FEES: Unlike large online vacation rental sites, we do not charge any "Booking Fee" or "Service Fee" when booking directly through us. There is no "middle man" that requires a ridiculous commission! {Please see below for additional details}.

CLEANING CHARGE: There is a standard departure Cleaning Charge of $150 added to each reservation for this property. {ALL vacation rentals have a cleaning fee in addition to their posted rates}.

TAX: Montana has NO SALES TAX; however, we are required by law to charge a total 12% lodging tax to all reservations. {Establishments that do not charge this tax are NOT LICENSED or REGULATED}.

REFUNDABLE DAMAGE DEPOSIT: $250 or 25% of the base rental amount, whichever is greater {double for foreign guests}. This is standard policy of virtually all PayPal merchants since, as further explained below, we do not obtain our guests' confidential credit card information as collateral.

DEPOSITS: To keep our rates competitive, we must keep our administrative costs low. Therefore, the full rental amount is due to confirm a reservation.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: Due to popular demand, we accept PayPal {MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and debit cards} only. PayPal does not require users to have a PayPal account. Also, the merchant {property owner} NEVER sees the user's {guest's} credit card information AND the merchant pays all fees {3%}. The user's data can NOT be hacked! Additionally, since all merchants are thoroughly and regularly vetted, there is NO safer or more secure payment method on the planet. Never provide your credit card information online to a third party {management company/vacation rental site} that charges you fees AND has unlimited access to make unauthorized charges to your account, which are extremely difficult to contest. For obvious legal reasons, the primary guest who signs the rental agreement MUST be the one who pays for the reservation, and we do not accept reservations for more than 21 nights at a time.

DISCOUNTS: Our best rates are those posted and are FIRM. We do not offer any "last minute" deals, specials, monthly discounts, or government/military discounts {although we love and appreciate those who serve!}. Rate reduction requests are automatically considered generic. Such inquiries are reported as SPAM, blocked from the system, and immediately deleted. Accordingly, we kindly ask all travelers to please respect our posted rates. Thank you.

^LOCATION: This chalet is located on Curley Bear Road. For obvious privacy/security/safety reasons, we never disclose the street number to strangers over the Internet. It is, of course, specified on the rental agreement. Please Google or MapQuest distances to points of personal interest {ski mountain, town center, restaurants, shops, attractions, buildings, etc.} from the above road. Due to time constraints and the fact that we are not a concierge service, providing directions/shuttle routes and researching where the best places are to get groceries/ski passes/rental equipment, etc., for potential guests is just not possible.  We appreciate your understanding.

OCCUPANCY: The non-negotiable posted 6 person maximum that this property sleeps/allows {per fire code} obviously includes children of ALL ages. If your group will exceed this limit, you will need to book a different property or book an additional property. Please be aware that there are, of course, exterior cameras surrounding the property that document the ingress/egress of all occupants. The violation of any rule will result in immediate eviction and/or forfeiture of all monies paid, including damage deposit. Thank you for your understanding and compliance.

SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT: Must be properly executed and returned within 48-hours of being sent, or reservation will not be honored and no refund will be provided. The primary guest who signs the rental agreement {current physical address required for it} must be at least 25 years of age {proof required via valid/current government-issued photo ID; passport/visa for foreign guests}, or reservation will not be honored and no refund will be provided. Please be aware that, for obvious reasons, we reserve the right to decline reservation requests from guests with poor language/communication/reading skills.

GUEST COMMENTS: This property had happy long-term tenants from mid-2009 to 2016, and from early 2016 to November, 2020. Accordingly, there are no short-term reviews during those time frames. Please be aware, though, that the owner is a "Super Host" with straight 5-star reviews all year at their other properties {posted}.

{CAUTION:  Be careful to only rent from a licensed/regulated property owner/manager. Some are actually charging their guests taxes while not licensed by the State of Montana. Therefore, they are not submitting the tax monies (7%) collected to the state and are "pocketing" them instead. This, of course, is a crime. It is also a crime not to charge taxes there. Always ask the owner/manager for their Montana license number and their Big Sky resort tax (3%) account number, or call Jeff in the Dept. of Revenue at (406) 444-5421 to make sure they are legitimately doing business. This is for your own protection. Our Montana license number is 4007564-002-LFT and our Big Sky resort tax account number is 7089.}

~ Always Rent OWNER-DIRECT if you desire prompt and excellent service that a management company is rarely able and/or willing to provide. Also, this way you will avoid paying the huge "Service Fee", etc., that large vacation rental sites charge, while using unsafe/third-party/overseas payment system software {i.e., Yapstone's "RentPayment"} that gets hacked. Please Google it for current class-action lawsuit details. Additionally, be aware that management companies are able to manipulate reviews on their sites by posting fraudulent ones and only the good ones {if any} from guests. ~
