"We had a wonderful stay in 8A in early January, 2010. We really enjoyed watching humpback whales from the lanai. 8A is well located within the resort. One thing that's nice about it is that it's angled towards the ocean. I had read that building 8 had good views, but it didn't really make sense until we stayed there. I am a Hawaii travel writer for GoVisitHawaii and I've been all over Hawaii and I can say that Hali'i Kai in Waikoloa is one of our favorite places to stay. The beautifully designed and landscaped pool is a one of a kind. We've stayed in lots of villas and condos across Hawaii and this pool complex is by far the most beautiful. Having the poolside bar was also a HUGE plus. We ate there almost every day. The quality of the food was very, very good and the prices weren't too bad, especially considering it's in Hawaii."
