Completely remodeled recently, the spectacular log structure will absolutely blow you away. Beautiful hardwood floors are complemented by slate, granite and magnificent wood beams throughout. Seven bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms span the 3 floors. Sleeping up to 16 (inquire if your party is larger), Wilderness Lodge is the perfect spot for family reunions, corporate retreats, hunting or fishing excursions, or multi-family gatherings. Wilderness Lodge is 2 short hours from Seattle and less than 1 ½ hours from Portland in Toledo, WA.
ABOUT WILDERNESS LODGE
Main Floor:
Enter on the main floor (shoes off please), go through the slate floor entry and see a gorgeous, over-sized, wood picnic style dining table seating 8. From there, head toward the spacious kitchen featuring wood cabinetry, granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes two sinks and double ovens. A second stunning dining set seating 8 is immediately off the kitchen. Beyond the kitchen are a laundry room and the largest powder room you've ever seen with a big picture window overlooking the woods. A full bath with an extra deep soaking tub and a bedroom with a queen bed are also on the main floor. Making your way upstairs, you will first go through the great room featuring a 2-story river rock fireplace, flat screen TV with Tivo, and plenty of seating for relaxing and catching up with friends and family.
2nd Floor:
Reach the top of the log stairs capped with natural slate and arrive at one of the more unique features of the lodge - a party sized DANCE FLOOR! Yes - just like you'd expect - disco ball, lights that flash to the beat of the music, fog machine and the most bass you've heard in a while. From this level you can look down upon the great room below. Upstairs you will also find 2 master suites with king sized beds and private baths. One suite includes a jetted soaking tub for relaxing. Each of these rooms is twice the size of a typical bedroom.
Lower Level:
Downstairs you'll find yet another entertaining area complete with high def 55” flat screen TV and a full bar. Cozy up to the wood burning stove, have a hot cocoa and watch a good movie. Or DVR your favorite TV shows to watch after the kids are in bed. Four more bedrooms and a full bath are on this floor as well as access to the hot tub. Need a workout? Utilize the exercise equipment on this level as well - treadmill, elliptical and hand weights.

Enter the 12+ acre estate through the gated entry and find yourself in complete privacy in the glorious wilderness. As you approach, you'll see the impressive 3-story Wilderness Lodge and its gorgeous front entry. Enjoy the outdoor spaces with a glass of wine on one of the covered decks. You will hear the peaceful sound of the creek which runs through the property. Or take a secluded soak in the 8-person hot tub with a view. End the evening gathered around the campfire in the outdoor fire pit - don't forget the marshmallows for roasting!
AREA ACTIVITIES
From Mountains to Sea:
Visit Mt. Saint Helens while here - it's just 45 minutes away. Learn all about the May 18, 1980 eruption and see what Mt. St. Helens was like before, during, and since the monumental event. Or explore Mt. Rainier just over an hour away. Don't miss the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad on the way. Hiking trails abound in the area for hikers of all different abilities. Or maybe you'd like to ski at White Pass - less than 2 hours away. Snowmobile and quad trails for 4-wheeling are near the property as well. If you have time, sneak in a day trip to the Washington coast. Westport or Ocean Shores are a couple hours away. Or take a guided trail ride on horseback through the beautiful Nisqually River Valley just over an hour's drive. Don't forget golfing! There are 5 golf courses in Chehalis and Centralia, 40 minutes away.
Hunting and Fishing:
If it's a hunting or fishing getaway you're after, Wilderness Lodge is the perfect location. In the nearby area you can hunt for elk, black tailed deer, forest grouse, waterfowl, and pheasant. Some of the best fishing in the state is just minutes away at the Cowlitz River - fish winter steelhead November through March. For more great fishing, 11,000 acre Riffe Lake is a 40 minute drive. There are 3 boat launches and recreational parks at each end of the lake. The Mossyrock Dam Overlook at Riffe Lake is also a popular place for shoreline fishing. Cutthroat, brown and rainbow trout, coho salmon, catfish and bass are plentiful in these waters. Watch for the deer and elk commonly spotted on the lake shores and bald eagles soaring above. Lake Mayfield is another great fishing location nearby and is open all year round.
Indoor Activities away from Wilderness Lodge:
Let the guys hunt or fish while the ladies go shopping! The northwest's original outlet shopping destination, Centralia Outlets, is about 40 minutes away. Stop by Antique Row while in town. Less than an hour from Wilderness Lodge is the Lucky Eagle Casino if you fancy gambling. It features 4 restaurants, entertainment, table games, slots and bingo. Chehalis and Centralia offer dining out, bowling and movies all within 30 minutes. Visit the state capitol in Olympia, about a 50 minute drive.
